Important to distinguish:
1) Can you get to the login screen?
Check if you have the correct URL.
2) Do you have the correct credentials?
- Option A: Use the password reset function and check your email
- Option B: Contact the help desk/telephone hotline of your event, the "conference office" can also reset your password and give it to you e.g. by phone.
3) The browser is loading too long
After system updates it can happen that the browser still has too much old information stored.
-
Option A: Reload with Ctrl + R or (Fn) F5
- Option B: Empty/delete cache (under browser history)
- Option C: Open application in private tab / incognito tab / in private mode
- Otherwise: consult in-house IT, because of restrictive browser/firewall settings
4) Test other browser/device, reboot, browser update
The versions with the browser minimal requirements: (as of 2022/11)
- Chrome: 106 ('Google Chrome' oder 'Chromium')
- MS-Edge: 104
- Firefox: 106
- Safari: 16
- Opera: 92
Chrome and MS Edge are generally to be preferred at the moment, as Safari does not adhere to all valid standards and recently Firefox might also experience problems.
5) Use Electron browser as a portable desktop app:
If OpenSlides does not work in any installed browser, no browser can be installed/updated and all the above tips do not help, Electron Browser as a portable desktop app may help.

- Save the file to your device, open and enter the URL of the OpenSlides instance you are using.
