To figure out exactly what you need for your event, you should address the following three broad categories of questions:
A) What form of hosting do you need?
OpenSlides hosting includes all the basic features without any restrictions:
- Agenda
- Speaker list
- Motions
- Voting / Elections
- Participant management
- File management
Hosting is staggered according to the number of participants:
- 50 participants = package meeting "Sitzung"
- 250 participants = package conference "Tagung"
- 500 participants = package congress "Kongress"
- or more on request
The minimum hosting duration is 1 month. We recommend 2-3 months for sufficient preparation and follow-up time. Hosting expires automatically and does not need to be cancelled. We will remind you with an email before the hosting expires. Subsequent extensions are possible upon request.
Technical requirements: Security-maintained browser and stable Internet, PC/laptop with camera and microphone.
B) Virtual stage or conference room - the video conference
Further it has to be clarified how the general setup, i.e. the structure of the event should be:
- Does the presidium/board or similar meet up in person? (Keyword: hybrid event)
- Should it be professionally filmed? (Keyword: external service provider for image/sound technology)
- Or are all participants connected from their own PC/laptop?
This goes hand in hand with:
- Do you use your own established video conferencing system?
- Do you want to additionally book the integrated video conference with stream (subject to a fee, staggered according to the number of participants)?
Technical requirements: Security-maintained browser (preferably Chromium-based), stable Internet connection, preferably via LAN cable, PC/laptop with camera and microphone.
For hybrid events with a professional camera team, we will provide further details on the setup upon request.
C) Do you need support services from our OpenSlides team to run the event?
We offer depending on your needs:
- virtual or on-site support, with additional HelpDesk if required
- Training courses to familiarize you with OpenSlides and its processes
- Telephone on-call service during your meeting to cover unforeseen incidents
